About

Welcome to Bloom with Brooke. I am dedicated to helping athletes and performers overcome self-doubt, cultivate mental resilience, and realize that you are always so much more than a number on a scoreboard.

My journey on and off the court

I grew up in Fort Wayne, IN, surrounded by a very big sports family. My love for sports started very young, when my dad and I would both be screeching at the TV every Sunday, or throwing a baseball outside. As a young athlete who participated in several different sports, I've always felt this amazing rush from competition, and I understand the challenges athletes of all ages can face.

Growing up playing competitive tennis throughout high school and college, I often found myself standing in my own way. Constant self-doubt, pressure, and stress kept me from fully trusting my abilities, which hindered my performance and the relationships around me. Through navigating those challenges, I learned that sports and life are like climbing a mountain—there will always be obstacles along the trail, but with the right mindset, you can push through and reach the next peak. The view from each peak is always the most rewarding part.

When it comes to mental performance, I like to think of it as another avenue towards growth. As athletes, we are constantly focused on training our bodies, but our mind and body work together as one! Both sides deserve to be nurtured and cared for.

Education and credentials

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sport Psychology from Trine University in Angola, Indiana. Currently based in Knoxville, Tennessee, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Additionally, I am actively working toward becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC).

During my time at Trine University, I was blessed to work as an intern Mental Performance Coach for the Football Team. I have some of my favorite learning experiences here.

As a current Second Year Master's student at UTK, I am so grateful I get to work with several collegiate level athletes to help me grow and expand my expertise.

My approach to coaching

My coaching philosophy centers entirely on you as a whole individual, not merely as a performer. In one-on-one sessions, we work collaboratively toward your specific personal and competitive goals in a safe, judgment-free space, all while feeling challenged and having fun. Each person is on their own time and their own journey to excellence.

In team settings, I serve as a flexible resource tailored to the team's shared ambitions, building trust, confidence, and lasting mental strength.
